Two years old
I can hardly believe it, but our beautiful baby boy turned two years old last week. He continues to have such a sweet and personality and adds so much to our family. He is definitely has some "two year old moments" these past few months and some of his easy going nature seems to have been replaced with that fierce "no hep (help), me do" characteristic. He also wants desperately to keep up with his big brother and sister and when he is denied entry to the office when they are playing legos or has to ride in the stroller while they run around, a fit is likely to ensue. He does not like to go bed if he knows others are still up and just wants to be in the middle of it all.
I love seeing his little personality emerge and we are all delighting in his ever growing vocabulary. He is our busiest little one as far as climbing and being adventurous, so we have to keep a close eye on him. He's not loud about it, but seems to be fearless. He climbs to the top of big toys, charges into lakes (with a life jacket and us following him), tries to run away at parks (and doesn't seem to care if we are following or not), and has more than once appeared sitting in a high chair that I didn't put him in.
He loves fruit, dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt), and any treats he can get his little hands on. He refuses a lot of other foods (what kid doesn't like bread?). He loves to play outside, go to parks, build with blocks and duplos (and is in heaven when brother and sister let him touch their legos), and play with his Fisher Price Little People. He adores playing with Little Man and Kiwi, but can also play by himself really well.
We took the kids to some gardens last weekend and I tried to snap some pictures of my two year old. Besides the fact that I totally missed the fact that his collar his turned up, I think we got some cute ones. I love his crazy mad scientist hair and will resist cutting it for as long as I can.
