Day 6 and 7

Monday was our last full day in the park, so we tried to get done with the rest of our must dos.  The highlight of the day was probably the parade and snow, which I already talked about.  Some other highlights were the following.

Finding Nemo's submarine:  Kiwi had really been anticipating this one after seeing the video online and it was a cute, although slightly claustrophobic, ride.  After the ride, Little Man said, "I'm so glad we went on that so we could see what Nemo's life was like after the movie ended."  I'm telling you, the characters were magic (if you have read all of these posts, you are probably tired of this word) to these kids.

Autopia:  Little Man got to drive the car on this one and loved it.

The train:  The train goes around the whole park making four stops that you can get on and off at.  Kiwi was tired, so Mike and the kids did a full loop and then some while I got off to get us some fast passes.  After riding the train and taking a little rest, Kiwi was ready to go again.  I'm going to store that away for future use with little kids at Disneyland.  There is no seat belts and you can stay on as long as you want, so you theoretically you could sit and let your child take their afternoon nap on that train.

Meeting Rapunzel:  Meeting this princess was our longest wait of the whole trip.  We waited forty five minutes to meet the princess and her hair, but it was one of Kiwi's musts and have I mentioned the kids were into the characters?  So we waited and got her autograph and picture.  Both kids joked in line that they might get hit with a frying pan when they walked into the tower, but they were fine (the frying pan was on the wall though).  Rapunzel also told Kiwi that Flynn Rider sometimes uses her hair as a pillow to sleep on at night (a little TMI Rapunzel)

Tuesday we used our magic morning pass that came with our package to get into the park an hour early and headed straight for Peter Pan since it had always had such a long line.  Everybody else with a magic morning pass headed there too and the line was forty minutes when we reached it.  We went on a couple of other rides and then came back and stood in about a thirty minute line, because the kids really wanted to do Peter Pan.  It was worth the wait.
We went on the Matterhorn where our brave little roller coaster girl burst into tears.  Not because it was too fast, but because of the snow monster.  I told her there was one monster in it, but he actually appeared two times.  Ooops.
We left at lunch time and headed to the airport.  Although we were very sad to leave, we could not wait to see Mason.  I don't know if I have ever been so excited to see someone.  As we drove to my parents house to get him that night, my arms were literally aching to get that little body in them.  I was unbuckling my seatbelt three streets away.  When we walked in, he got really excited and he even let me hold him without squirming away...for probably about 60 seconds....and then he was off.  He did get anxious when we started getting ready to leave, but was fine when he realized he was coming with us.
Not a great picture, but the only one we had the castle in the background.
So long Disneyland.  Hopefully, we will see you in a few years.

(Since coming home, my kids have played Disneyland or talked about Disneyland every single day.  They took maps home with them and they will get them out and use their toys to set up and create rides in the right order.)
