Day 3

The plan for Friday was to go to California Adventure again and do all the things we hadn't been able to the previous day.  Since there had been so few lines on Thursday, we had done almost everything we wanted to, so along with checking off our last few things, we re-did some favorites.  Favorites, of course, included Toy Story Mania again.

Little Man has recently discovered the cartoon Phineas and Ferb and will usually choose that as his show, so I knew the Phineas and Ferb dance show was a must.
At the beginning of the show, some of the Campfire girls come around and chose kids to dance with them.  Little Man raised his hand high (while Kiwi shrunk back into me) and was chosen.  It really was interesting to watch the differences between my two oldest on this trip.  Little Man was much braver about volunteering for shows or talking to characters, but Kiwi was actually the braver one when it came to the bigger rides.

Of course we had to get a picture of Lightening and Mater (notice Little Man's shirt.  They planned out their outfits for each day and packed every Disney clothing item we owned for this trip).  This was right outside of the entrance to Cars Land which will be done this summer and looks like it will be awesome.

Here's Pluto and Minnie before going to a really cute show where Cresh, the sea turtle from Finding Nemo, tells us "land dwellers" what's it's like to live in the ocean and calls on audience members to ask him questions.  Little Man, of course, raised his hand, and I couldn't believe it when he got picked again to participate.  He asked Cresh, "What's it like to live in the sea world?' to which Cresh replied, "Wet."  Cresh then asked Little Man, "What's it like to live on the dry land?" to which Little Man replied, "Yes" (I don't think he understood the question).  They went onto have a conversation involving what Little Man likes to do on the land (play soccer) and if he ever went swimming while Mike and I cracked up watching our little boy.  We are not quite sure where he gets his outgoingness, since neither one of us was like that at his age.
We also saw The Incredibles perform a little show on the street and then went to this huge theatre where they put on an Aladdin play.  It was really neat.  It didn't hold Kiwi's attention as well, but Mike and I really liked it and Little Man was enthralled.  His eyes were glued to the stage the entire show.
After Aladdin, we headed out of the park to a California Pizza Kitchen we had seen on Mike's phone.    It said it was .6 miles away, but Mike's phone is a liar.  We walked, and walked, and walked.  We did bring the umbrella stroller so Kiwi was in that, but Little Man was dying.  We finally got there and enjoyed a delicious meal (although anything would have tasted good at that point).  When dinner was over, we realized we had probably walked half way back to our hotel, so rather than walk back to Disneyland to catch the bus, we walked back to the hotel.  It was definitely a group effort to get back, but through a combination of piggy back rides given to both kids, Kiwi on Mike's shoulders, both kids taking a turn in the stroller, and some good walking (and even running) by little legs, we finally made it back.
