Christmas
Christmas morning started with Little Man coming into our room about 7:00 (we had told him 7 was the magic number). He crawled in bed with us and played Angry Birds while we waited for Kiwi to wake up (we were a little tired from our late night gig as Mr. and Mrs. Claus). Little Man was about to burst with anticipation and I was proud of him for being so patient. Kiwi and Mason woke up at about the same time and then it began. I went downstairs first so I could video tape the kids coming downstairs. Mike had them line up in age order and down they came. Little Man and Kiwi were so excited. I have decided that when our kids all grow up and leave, I am going to move in with them over the holidays...they are just so magical with little ones.
Here are the kids and Mike with their Santa presents. Both Kiwi and Little Man got what they had asked Santa for. Kiwi is thrilled to have a talking Woody doll to go with her Jessie doll and hours of Toy Story play have already been logged. Little Man received Ramone's coloring changing garage which is a garage where cars get squirted with cold water and then change colors in the hot water. It is a very fun (and wet) toy. It's current home is the bathroom. Mason got a little book that plays music. Kiwi probably enjoys it the most although she does read to him a lot which is adorable to see. I realized I didn't get a picture of the train table we were up so late assembling (we had it out in the family room so they found it later), but the kids love it also and I think it will get years of use.
After spending the morning just hanging out at home with our own little family we headed over to Mike's parents where his whole family was gathered. We spent an enjoyable day there visiting, opening presents, eating a delicious meal, watching Toy story, and just enjoying being together.
Grandma N. was up from Utah which made Christmas even more special.
Mason actually played with this cute toy from Auntie Kari.
These last pictures were taken with my present from Mike which is a new camera that I am excited about and now need to learn how to use.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas with their families.
