A spring shirt

I picked this shirt up on clearance to help boost Kiwi's summer wardrobe. Today, was the first day she wore it. Currently, it is 4:00 pm and the pink of her shirt has been complimented by

Some dirt and sawdust

Grass

Tootsie pop drool

Doritos

and

a frozen lemonade popsicle

There easily could have been some pink and purple paint added to the colors of this shirt, but the shirt came off for painting

This is a shirt that has had a tough day

This is the tired, dirt smudged face of a little girl who has

Painted a magnet and a princess mask

Been tackled in the backyard by her brother

Enjoyed a Subway turkey sandwich and Dorritos eaten on an outside table

Slurped a Minute Maid frozen lemonade pop on the back patio

Walked to the park down the street, rolled in the grass, climbed up the slide and ran in the saw dust

And sucked her way through an entire sticky chocolate tootsie pop

The is the face of a little girl who has had a wonderful day (and who will definitely be getting a bath tonight)

As a side note, what is it about the sun that makes everything seem brighter (and not only literally?)

The kiddos woke up fighting and I was feeling it was going to be a long day this morning, but soon the sun was out, we were outside, and we've had a great day.

Is there less whining and fighting outside? Or do I just not notice it?

Either way, we love this gorgeous weather!
