We are happy when we're helping

Since no one had lived in our house for several months, we inherited crispy dead grass and a lot of weeding. Luckily, I have two little helpers complete with "gardening" gloves.

It is interesting that as a kid I hated weeding, but now that it is my own house it feels fun and exciting. Mike feels the same way. The novelty will probably wear off soon, but for now we are enjoying transforming our little yard. After a week and a half of watering and some weeding in the front, it is already looking a lot better and not so much like the neighborhood eye sore.

As a side note, the kids did not last that long after these pictures were taken. Apparently, weeding doesn't hold the same magic to them.
